Attention all audiophiles and lovers of high end tower speakers alike! There’s great news coming down the grapevine, so listen up! As a leader among top notch speaker manufacturers, Induction Dynamics has just announced an updated design for the company’s flagship ID1 tower speaker!
What’s New in the Revised ID1 High End Tower Speaker?
The updated version provides a new front-ported cabinet design and separated high and low subwoofers for uniform bass response throughout the room. As with the original ID1, the new version includes a unique 3” soft dome mid-range driver that covers the entire voice bandwidth for completely natural sounding vocals. This driver is paired with a 1.125” inverted titanium dome tweeter, two 6.5” Kevlar cone woofers with rubber surround and cast frame, and two 10” mica-graphite poly cone subwoofers with rubber surround and cast frame.
About the ID1 Series
All drivers are hand-selected to match one another within ½ dB; Induction Dynamics’ patented S4X® super fourth-order crossover provides superior driver control for a wider vertical sweet spot. “When it first came out, the ID1 represented a breakthrough in high end tower speaker sound,” said Duke Ducoff, MSE Audio VP of Sales. “This new high end tower speaker takes that signature ID1 sound a step further with precision bass response that perfectly complements the warm presence of superior recordings. It is equally at home in a listening room or as front high end tower speakers in a home theater system.”
The ID1 is available in freestanding, on-wall and in-wall configurations. Standard finishes include rosewood gloss, black gloss, black satin, and sports car red gloss; any desired wood-grain or paint may be accommodated. Grille fabrics are available in 63 different colors. All Induction Dynamics high end tower speakers, as well as the rest of our premium speakers are manufactured in Lenexa, Kansas USA.
